Moscow “Spartacus” beat Samara “Wings of the Soviets” in the match of the fourth round of the group stage of the RPL Path FONBET Russian Football Cup.
The Group A match in Moscow ended with a score of 4:1. Goals were scored by Shamar Nicholson, Roman Zobnin, and Ricardo Mangas, who scored for the Red-Whites for the first time, while Samara’s Kirill Pechenin scored another own goal. Vladislav Shitov scored for Krylia.
The visitors played out the match with nine players. In the 80th minute, Maksim Vityugov was seriously injured, but by that time the Samara team had already used all their substitutions. In the 86th minute, Pechenin received a second yellow card.
Spartak defeated Krylia Sovetov for the third time this season, gained 9 points and guaranteed its participation in the playoffs. Igor Osinkin’s team, without any points, lost its chances of reaching the next stage of the Cup.
