“Spartak” lost to the worst club in the KHL “Sochi”

Hockey players of Moscow “Spartak” lost to “Sochi” with a score of 3:4 in the home match of the regular season “Fonbet” – KHL.

For Sochi, goals were scored by Fedor Kroshchinsky (13th minute), Sergey Kosovets (15th), Matvey Michkov (16th) and Ivan Didkovsky (43rd). Fedor Svechkov (25), Andrei Loktionov (28) and Alexander Khokhlachev (35) scored once morest Spartak.

Even in the first period, two Spartak players were sent off before the end of the match. Defender Joey Keane was penalized for stabbing, goalkeeper Alexei Krasikov for opponent’s blow club in the face.

Spartak suffered a third defeat in a row, and Sochi interrupted a five-match losing streak.

Spartak dropped to ninth place in the Western Conference standings with 58 points in 58 games. Sochi is in last, 11th place with 23 points in 56 matches.

In the next match, Spartak will host Nizhnekamsk Neftekhimik on February 3, Sochi will play away with Vityaz near Moscow the day before.
