The delay in issuing travel visas to Spain in some Moroccan cities has once again angered many Moroccans. These complications are renewed every year, with the increase in requests for visas to Schengen countries during the summer.
Every year, problems related to the increase in visa applications for the aforementioned countries are renewed, which has prompted those affected to demand clarification and compensation for the financial losses they incurred while preparing their visa file.
The same citizens expressed their discontent with the return of the same scenario of delayed processing of applications, especially those related to those wishing to travel to Spain.
Press reports quoted the affected people as saying that the brokerage company “PLS”, which is responsible for reviewing applications for entry visas to Spanish territory, is delaying in responding to applications within the appropriate time and in the legal manner.
The concerned parties added that the waiting period currently exceeds 60 days, despite their fulfillment of all the required procedures and conditions, stressing that these delays force applicants to postpone or cancel their travel, which leads to the loss of additional costs, not to mention the loss of many of them of job opportunities or educational programs that they were scheduled to receive in Spain.
It is worth noting that the issue of delays in processing visa applications for some European countries has previously sparked many reactions, to the point of protests in front of the consulates of these countries at various stations, the most recent of which was a protest by human rights activists in front of the Spanish consulate in Tetouan a few months ago.
This delay is a clear violation of the rules indicated on the official website for submitting visa applications, as the specified processing period is not respected, which has led to increasing frustration and anger among applicants who consider it unfair.
These people demand that the relevant authorities intervene to put an end to this situation and provide them with justice for the damages they suffer due to the delay in processing their requests or their rejection in many cases.
