The Spanish Royal House came out to answer the claim of the Presidente Gabriel Boricwho last night on the program “Las Caras de La Moneda”, interviewed by Mr. Francisco, blamed Felipe VI for the delay with which his investiture ceremony began on Friday.
“It seemed unacceptable to me that the ceremony was delayed because the King of Spain had been latebut hey, these are things that happen,” said the President, lamenting what happened on Friday at the National Congress in Valparaíso.

“In fact, the caravan with the Spanish delegation was waiting in line behind other until protocol and security gave the instruction that it could already be accessed,” added the same sources.
The swearing-in ceremony began with more than 15 minutes late regarding the scheduled time and King Felipe VI was the last to arrive of the 12 heads of state who were at the change of command, when the outgoing President Piñera and his successor were already inside.
The guests had to travel by road the 120 kilometers that separate Santiago from Valparaíso, since, for security reasons, they were not allowed to use the Viña del Mar Airport, located a few kilometers away. Once in the port city, they must have get past three security cordons before reaching the seat of Parliament.
When the king entered the building, the doors were finally closed and the ceremony began.
