The Cofidis team rider covered the stage distance of 168.8 km between Rouen and Belleville at a time of 3:51.42 hours, 58 seconds ahead of Frenchman Mathieu Borgodo and American Matteo Jurgenson, achieving his second victory in the history of his participation in the Tour of Morzine in 2016. He also won stages in the Italian and Spanish Tours .
Isagiri (34 years old) gave Spain the second victory in the current version of the tour, following the other Basque, Pio Bilbao, succeeded on Tuesday in achieving the tenth stage, giving his country the first victory since 2018.
It is also the second victory for the Cofidis team in this edition, following Frenchman Victor Lafay succeeded in ending a 15-year drought for the northern team by winning the second stage.
Vingegaard finished the stage in sixteenth place, 4:14 minutes behind Isagiri, and maintained a 17-second difference from his direct chaser, Slovenian Tadi Bogachar, who came twelfth at the same time.
The thirteenth stage will be held on Friday at a distance of 138 km between Chatillon-sur-Chalaron and Gran Colombier.
