Spanish businessmen will come to Paraguay attracted by investment opportunities

Asuncion, IP Agency.- Spanish businessmen from sectors such as pharmaceuticals, technology and agri-food will undertake a mission to Paraguay from 5 to 11 July, attracted by the investment opportunities offered by the South American country. The aim is to gain an insight into the economic, institutional, tourist and social reality.

The Spanish consultancy firm Puentia, specialising in Strategic Communication and Relational Intelligence, is in charge of organising this mission for ten Spanish businessmen who will travel around the country and meet with representatives from various sectors for a week.

The expedition, which has been in the works for months, will visit Asunción and Ciudad del Este with a full agenda in which networking will play a specific role. Throughout the week, various meetings will be held with members of the Government and the main Paraguayan public institutions, along with various business and social representatives.

The programme, coordinated by Rediex and supported from the start by the Embassy of Paraguay in Spain, includes a presentation of the country at the Ministry of Industry, interviews with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Ministers of Industry and Commerce, Information and Communication Technologies (Mitic) and Tourism, as well as meetings with the presidents of the Paraguayan Industrial Union (UIP), the Chamber of Commerce of Spain in Paraguay and the Club of Executives, and the Spanish ambassador to Paraguay, among others.

The mission is made up of some renowned businessmen such as Manu Marín, CEO of Halotech, Miguel Ara, CEO of Mapbiopharma; Ricardo Vaca, president of Barlovento, or José Chavero, president of Tradichem, to name a few.

Also traveling with the group is Eduardo Álvarez, CEO of Puentia Comunicación, the consulting firm that promotes this initiative and that has maintained close and deep ties with Paraguay for years. In Álvarez’s opinion, Paraguay is “a beacon of opportunities; a nation that strikes you with its wealth, captivates you with its people and that, now, has opened up to the world.”
