Asunción, IP Agency.- President Santiago Peña received this Monday the head of the Alliance for Ibero-America Business Council (Ceapi), Nuria Vilanova, who followed up on the tour that the president made in the European country at the end of February.

Vilanova pointed out that the meetings held by President Peña allowed us to make our country known, “one of the best kept secrets,” he indicated. The Business Council seeks to “be a speaker so that the world knows more regarding this great opportunity that Paraguay represents.”

He stressed that the Government has dedicated itself to making the country “a point of reception and job creation, which in the end is what helps us take advantage of opportunities that transform countries, reaching all levels of the population. including the most disadvantaged.

The Ceapi was made up of more than 300 businessmen from Latin America, many of them who already have a presence in the country, including Mapfre, IDOM, Abengoa, Strom Engineering, among others.

«We have been accompanied by Bimbo, one of the Mexican companies that has announced a very important investment in the country and its objective of turning it into a center for the region. Reinforce the factory with an investment of US$ 30 million,” announced Vilanova.

He stressed that they will work with the Government and businessmen to facilitate the presence of more companies in new players; countries like Paraguay and the South American region, which have the attention of Middle Eastern countries, India, the Philippines, among others, she said.

Presence of ONCE Foundation

In addition to multinational companies, Ceapi also has foundations among its partners, such as the ONCE Foundation of Spain, which allows decent work for people with visual and other disabilities.

«This foundation is already in the country and what it wants is, through responsible gambling, to allocate 25% of the resources to impact these groups that can and should have the opportunity to join the gambling market with dignity. work,” explained Vilanova.
