Spain warns of 3 common drugs that cause kidney failure and death

The Agency stresses that the European Medicines Agency’s European Committee for Risk Assessment of Pharmacovigilance has reviewed the benefits and risks of this type of medicine on several occasions and concluded that the risks related to its use outweigh the benefits.

Therefore, the marketing authorization must be suspended in all EU countries, the agency added, noting that the agency’s recommendation was ratified by the European Commission, which published the corresponding decision on May 24.
