A couple fell off a cliff while taking a selfie along the Costa del Sol on Monday. He miraculously survived thanks to two sets of circumstances.
Both victims survived their thirty-meter fall.

It was not their time. Two lovers were admiring the view from a cliff top in Villaricos, along the Costa del Sol. When taking the inevitable selfie, the couple leaned against a wooden railing, which gave way. The two unfortunates fell into the void and fell thirty meters which, normally, should not have given them the slightest chance. However, fate seems to have decided otherwise.
First, a thick bed of algae squatting the foot of the cliff cushioned the fall of the two victims. And secondly, a little girl who was passing by shortly after the accident alerted her family, who called the emergency services, says “20 minutes”. The 32-year-old survived with several broken bones but will have to undergo leg surgery. Her husband suffered less severe injuries but was also hospitalized.
According to the Civil Guard, the intervention of the little girl proved to be crucial. If she had not given the alert, the firefighters, the medical services and the Civil Guard would probably not have intervened for several hours, the time a witness noticed the couple.
