In 2008, ecosexuality began as an artistic trend that tried to extol and venerate the planet Tierra as a fertility deity. In recent days, it has become an ecological activist movement and a different form of sexual orientation, which has more and more followers in the world.
american artists Elizabeth Stephens y Annie Sprinkle from the group Pony Express coined the term “ecosexual” eight years ago; however, in 2010 they drafted the so-called ecosexual manifesto in which it is explained who the ecosexuals are and their purposes.

In Spain, for example, the movement began in 2008 as an artistic current and, since then, has been transforming into a sexual form. This group has penetrated so much in that country that it has been officially named as a new genre, reports the Primicia portal.
“We make love to the Earth. We are aquaphiles, terrophiles, pyrophiles and aerophiles. We shamelessly embrace the trees, we massage the earth with our feet, we talk erotically with the plants”, indicates one of the points of the manifesto, which also explains its naturist and environmentalist ideology. “We make love to the Earth through our senses, we celebrate our E-point. We are very dirty”, reads the manifesto that explains the sexual and naturist ideology of those who consider themselves sexually active with ecology.
The authors of the Ecosexual Manifesto argue that one of its pillars is nudism as an appropriate way to get in touch with nature and they emphasize that with their show they also seek to “break down the barriers between species”.

“In order to create a more mutualistic and sustainable relationship with the Earth, we collaborate with nature,” they say. In addition, they emphasize that ecosexuality is an identity and a commitment to the Tierrawhom they intend to “love, honor and care for until death”.
