Today’s hearing in Madrid is part of the preliminary investigation into whether Gomet had used her position as the prime minister’s wife to secure sponsors for the university’s postgraduate program she ran.
“Our position is … that this process is completely unfounded,” her lawyer and former interior minister Antonio Camacho told reporters following Gomet left court.
