Ecosexuality has become an ecological activist movement in Spain and a different form of sexual orientation, which is why it counts more and more; with multiple followers not only on Iberian soil, but also throughout the planet.

The movement began in 2008 as an artistic trend, however over time it changed and became sexual.

“We make love with the earth, we shamelessly hug the trees, we massage the earth with our feet, we talk erotically with the plants,” says a manifesto that explains the sexual and naturist ideology of those who consider themselves sexually active with ecology .

The movement has permeated in such a way that this year Spain officially recognized it as a new genre. This term was coined by American artists Elizabeth Stephens and Annie Sprinkle from the Pony Express group, who in 2010 wrote the so-called “Ecosexual Manifesto”.

“In order to create a more sustainable and mutualistic relationship with the earth, we collaborate with nature.”

This is affirmed by those who consider themselves ecosexual, emphasizing that ecosexuality is an identity and a commitment to the land they claim: “Love, care and honor until death.”

The group is projected to stop “the rape, abuse and poisoning of the Earth. We must break the barrier between species, “they maintain.
