Spain national team players: The Football Association is lying

Spain’s female soccer players revealed on Friday that they never asked the local federation for the sport to sack their coach Jorge Vilda.

The Spanish Football Federation issued a statement on Thursday saying that 15 players had threatened to stop representing the country’s national team if Filda was not sacked.

The players said in a joint statement on social media: We, the players, regret in the first place that the Spanish Football Federation has published in a fragmented manner to serve its interests a special communication containing information that affects our health and is part of our privacy sent in response to a request from our federation to know who of us wants Not being included in the squad.

And the players added: By the way, we did not receive an official response to those calls.

And she continued: We never asked for the coach to be fired, as was mentioned. We understand that our job is not in any way to choose who fills the said position, but to express in a constructive and honest way what we think can improve the squad’s performance.

According to sources close to the atmosphere, the players are not satisfied with the way injuries are handled, the atmosphere prevailing among the squad members, Filda’s choices, and the way he deals with training sessions.

The Spanish federation, which did not disclose the names of the 15 players, said it fully supported the coach and that these players would not return to the squad unless they “realized their mistake and asked for forgiveness”.

The statement added: The Spanish Football Federation will not allow players to question the continuity of the national coach and his coaching staff, because making these decisions does not fall within the scope of their powers.
