MADRID, Waspada.co.id – Four Indonesian mixed doubles qualify for the round of 16 for the Spain Masters 2023 in Madrid, Wednesday (29/3) evening. On the other hand, the other two mixed doubles have been forced to lift their suitcases.
The dominance of the Red and White mixed doubles began with the victory of Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati. Against Yang Po-Hsuan/Hu Ling Fang (China Taipei), Rehan/Lisa who were also the seventh seeds won 21-18, 21-17 within 28 minutes.
After that, it was Praveen Jordan/Melati Daeva Oktavianti’s turn to overcome Chan Peng Soon/Cheah Yee See (Malaysia) 21-18, 21-19 followed by Adnan Maulana/Nita Violina Marwah who outperformed Marcus Ellis/Lauren Smith (England) 19-21, 21 -16, 21-17.
The fourth mixed doubles that passed was Amri Syahnawi/Winny Oktavina Kandow vs. Ruttanapak Oupthong/Jhenicha Sudjaippararat (Thailand). Marked by a fierce battle, Amri/Winny won 22-20, 22-20.
Unfortunately, Zachariah Josiahno Sumanti/Hediana Julimarbela and Akbar Bintang Cahyono/Marsheilla Gischa Islami were eliminated. If Mathias Christiansen/Alexandra Boje (Denmark) beat Zachariah/Hediana 21-12, 21-6, then Jesper Toft/Clara Graversen (Denmark) won over Akbar Bintang Cahyono/Marsheilla Gischa Islami 21-18, 21-19.
