AC Milan player Brahim Díaz is coveted by Morocco. The Atlas Lions, who experienced a remarkable rise during the last World Cup in Qatar, are seeking to rise among the great nations of international football and hope to convince the Spanish-Moroccan player to join Morocco. The player is yet to make his debut for the Spanish national team, which would make it easier for him to fit into their squad, but Spain might bypass Morocco by calling up Diaz at the end of March.
Walid Regragui, the coach of the Moroccan team, wants at all costs to secure the services of the Real Madrid player. The Malaga-born midfielder has signed a two-year loan deal with AC Milan and will have to return to the Spanish capital this summer to make a decision on his future. At 23, Brahim is a key player in Stefano Pioli’s system, and while his stats aren’t exceptional – five goals and two assists – the player demonstrates the high quality he possesses in every game.

However, this situation might be resolved if Luis de la Fuente decides to call him up and play him in the Euro qualifiers once morest Norway and Scotland. The first list of the new Spanish coach will be announced at the end of March and Brahim might be among the selected players. If he plays for the Spanish national team, he will no longer be able to represent Morocco, given that he will have passed the age limit of 21 years.
Note that Luis Enrique has already included him in a national team roster in November 2021, but he hasn’t made his debut. According to Bein Sports, the Moroccan coach is trying to convince the player to join his team. This situation might be resolved during the next convocation scheduled for March.

Brahim Diaz’s future is still uncertain. AC Milan want to keep him, but would have to pay a clause of 22 million euros, knowing that Real Madrid would have the right to buy out for 27 million, which would only represent an investment of five million for the Rossoneri. Carlo Ancelotti sees in him the replacement for Marco Asensio, who is slow to renew his contract.
