At 10:47 pm local time on September 3, SpaceX successfully launched 21 Starlink Internet satellites, which were launched on a Falcon 9 rocket, setting a new launch record. According to Musk, the founder and chief executive of SpaceX, the launch is the company’s 62nd orbital mission in 2023, breaking the previous record for the most launches in a year, which was set in 2022. The first stage of the Falcon 9 rocket successfully returned to Earth and landed on the drone ship “Just Read the Instructions” in the Atlantic Ocean regarding 8.5 minutes following liftoff. This is the 10th successful launch and landing of the launcher. On the other hand, the Falcon 9’s upper stage continued its flight and is expected to successfully deploy 21 Starlink satellites into Low Earth Orbit (LEO) regarding 65 minutes following liftoff. In addition to the launch of the Starlink satellite, SpaceX has another important mission. The company is on the Crew-6 mission to return to Earth the four astronauts who have been on the International Space Station (ISS) since March. Crew-6’s Crew Dragon capsule, named “Endeavour,” left the ISS just following 7 a.m. local time and is expected to land in the ocean off the coast of Florida at 12:17 a.m. local time.
