A Falcon 9 rocket from the SpaceX company will take off from Florida late Sunday night and the launch trajectory is in the direction of Puerto Rico, so it is expected to be visible from the entire Island.
The rocket will carry 22 Starlink satellites into space, as part of a constellation of these ships to provide satellite internet.

The launch is scheduled for 11:58 p.m. Shortly after it will be visible to the naked eye from the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico in full ascent into space.
“If take-off occurs at that time, we would be seeing it from the Island at some point between 12:05 and 12:07 am (Sunday to Monday) looking towards the Northwestern horizon,” explained Eddie Irizarry, scientific disseminator of the Sociedad de Caribbean Astronomy (SAC).
Irizarry indicated that if the launch occurs at 11:58 p.m., observers will notice that during the final part of the sighting (around 12:07 a.m.) it will be possible to see that the trail ends and the separation of a ” point” or small object. He explained that this is the precise moment in which the propulsion of the second stage of the rocket is turned off or completed.

He clarified that if necessary, the launch could be postponed to Monday night. “The rocket would be passing at a height of 112 miles (180 km) over Puerto Rico at the time we are observing it,” he added.
“Even if you notice the sky is somewhat cloudy, there is a possibility of seeing it since you only need visibility towards the northwest horizon to be able to spot it,” said Nelson Ortega, vice president of the SAC.
