This is changing now, because a footbath not only leaves feet velvety soft, but also catapults us from 0 to 100 in mode relaxation. Here’s how: Simply add 4-5 drops of essential oil, such as lavender, to water at around 38°C and soak for 10 minutes. Or in summer to cool off: add 100g of salt in a container with cold water and that’s it.

Paso 2: Peeling

Get rid of old skin flakes. This can be very freeing. Imagine that at the same time you are removing the old skin, as if you were cutting your hair. Apply a scrub to the face and body and massage gently in circular motions. For the face, enzyme peels or fruit acid peels can be used to gently dissolve dead skin cells. On the body, you can use mechanical exfoliation with rubbing grains. You can also make your own!

Step 3: Face mask

After exfoliation, facial skin is especially receptive to a face mask. You can use a mask with active ingredients and applied to the face, or you can use a jar and gently apply a prepared mixture to the face. Are you one of those who say doing crafts, painting and doing it myself relaxes me? So why don’t you make your own mask? Chop half an avocado, mix it with a tablespoon of yogurt and apply it to your face, or in summer, chop up some watermelon and put it on your face. Of course, following 15 minutes you should wash them without leaving residues.

Step 4: Comb your hair

Did you know that the stress Is it also noticeable in the hair? That’s why you should first rid it of all old dirt, clean it thoroughly (with a scalp scrub, for example), and then apply some restorative care. Finally, twist it into a bun and hold it with a clip.

Step 5: Bath

15 minutes is exactly the time you should spend in the bathtub. You should also make sure that the water is not too hot, otherwise it will damage the skin. The optimal temperature to relax and to stimulate the skin cells is around 38 degrees. Lemon balm or lavender additives have a relaxing effect on the muscles and the soul.

Step 6: Alternating Shower

Sebastian Kneipp’s hydrotherapy already knew how to get the immune system, skin and soul in shape. After a hot bath shower your whole body with cold water. Start with the legs from the bottom up in circular movements, then continue with the arms and finally the upper body, back and head. It sounds harsh, but when you’re done you’ll feel like you’ve been reborn.

Step 7: Body care

After bathing, the skin is well supplied with blood and can absorb the care optimally. So the best is apply body lotion directly following the bath and massage it with your hands in circles. You can also use small suction cup capsules, which also reach the subcutaneous tissue. This has as beneficial an effect as a small professional massage. It’s even more relaxing if the oil or lotion has a scent like lemon.
