The English coach, defeated on Sunday evening in the Euro 2024 final (2-1), acknowledged the superiority of La Roja.
“As always in this kind of match, the margins are slim, but Spain were the best team in the tournament. Overall, they deserved it”England coach Gareth Southgate admitted on Sunday following the defeat in the Euro 2024 final.
“We fought until the end of the final, but today we didn’t have enough possession of the ball. That means they had more control over the game, and that can end up wearing you down.”he told BBC Sport following the 2-1 defeat in Berlin.
