THE NasDem PARTY in Makassar City and South Sulawesi Province (Sulsel) became the winner in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu). This victory placed its legislative candidates in the most parliamentary seats and became chairman of the DPRD.
The South Sulawesi NasDem Regional Leadership Council (DPW) management also received a summons from the founder of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh. Secretary of the South Sulawesi NasDem Party, Syaharuddin Alrif, then visited the NasDem Tower in Jakarta.
According to Syahar, he reported on the party’s achievements in South Sulawesi, which was able to place its representatives at the helm of the council. “The achievements of the NasDem Party are encouraging, you might even say they are legendary,” he said.
“The general chairman’s brother (Surya Paloh) also admitted that he was proud and appreciated this, because he was able to seize the dominance of the Golkar Party and called South Sulawesi Nasdem out of the box,” continued Syahar.
Apart from that, he also admitted that Surya Paloh said that the success of the South Sulawesi NasDem Party might not be separated from the humanitarian political work carried out by the Chairman of South Sulawesi NasDem, Rusdi Masse, and Syahar, Secretary of South Sulawesi NasDem. “This will be an example for all of Indonesia,” he admitted.
In South Sulawesi, the NasDem Party managed to win 17 seats in the DPRD. This means that NasDem occupies the chair of the South Sulawesi DPRD followed by 10 districts/cities.
Then there are nine district/city DPRDs, although they don’t have the chairperson’s seat, they still have the deputy leadership seat for 24 regencies/cities in South Sulawesi. This means that there are only five remaining districts/cities that are not yet controlled by NasDem. (Z-2)
