The global success of South Korea’s creative industries has inspired changes,” says Vygintas Gasparavičius, Deputy Minister of Culture.

According to experts, the Lithuanian “ArtTech” sector has great potential, but it lacks a coherent policy, a uniform system of sector financing, promotion, and investment.

Among the main recommendations for Lithuania, in order to become a leader in the field in the region, is to establish an “ArtTech” laboratory, which would allow systematic growth of the sector, strengthen cooperation between the Government and the private sector, and promote technological innovations. It would become the main institution for policy implementation and sector development.

Investing in ArtTech research and development is critical, say experts. In general, the development of new industries that use artificial intelligence, big data and the Internet of Things would promote the growth of the Lithuanian economy, therefore support for the development of ArtTech companies in the country and in international markets is very important.

In order to create an inclusive ArtTech innovation ecosystem, it is necessary to promote the partnership of public and private sectors, the export of ArtTech goods and services, the use of Industry 4.0 technologies, and the reduction of market entry barriers.
