Highlight the characteristics of special gardens and improve the quality level

How is the South China National Botanical Garden different from other botanical gardens, and how will it be built next?

A major feature of the South China National Botanical Garden is that it has a wide variety of specialized gardens, such as orchid garden, bamboo garden, ginger garden, medicine garden, pineapple garden, palm garden, etc. The special garden mainly collects plants with the same characteristics, and there are also many rare and endangered species, which represent the regional characteristics of the botanical garden in which it is located.

One of the tasks for the construction of the South China National Botanical Garden is to build 4 of the existing 38 specialized gardens into world-class and 4 into domestic first-class. The South China National Botanical Garden will adhere to the focus on the ex situ conservation of plants in South China, build a South China Plant Germplasm Resource Bank, a scientific research platform for plant ex situ conservation and utilization, and a South China Plant Resource R&D Center; systematic collection, complete preservation, high-level research and development of plants.
