Reigning world champions South Africa qualified on the wire for the Rugby World Cup final following their 16-15 victory over England on Saturday in the semi-final at the Stade de France in Paris.

No try was successful in the first half and England converted four penalties, compared to two for South Africa, to take a six-point lead at half-time (12-6). The XV de la Rose regained a nine-point lead following a drop from Owen Farrell (15-9) before the Springboks scored the first try of the match to come back to 15-13.

The reigning world champions then converted a penalty through Handre Pollard two minutes from time to advance to their fourth world final and deny England a revenge following the final they lost in 2019

Next Saturday at 7:00 p.m., the South Africans will face New Zealand, who beat Argentina 44-6 on Friday, in the final at the Stade de France. The Springboks and All Blacks have three titles each and will attempt to become the first nation to lift the Webb Ellis Cup four times
