JOHANNESBURG, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) — A survey by the Human Science Research Council (HSRC) on Monday revealed that the proportion of South Africa’s total population living with with HIV decreased from 14 percent in 2017 to 12.7 percent in 2022.

Results of the 6th South African National HIV Prevalence, Incidence and Behavior Survey published by the Council. It said the figures indicate 7.8 million people will test positive for HIV in South Africa in 2022, compared to 7.9 million in 2017.
