The MTN 8 semi-final first leg between Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns did not have a winner. Neither team managed to find the fault, this Saturday, October 1, at the Orlando stadium.
The Buccaneers were better than their opponent of the day, but lacked clarity in front of the opposing goal. They hit the post once and created plenty of chances that were denied by Williams, the Downs keeper.
Jose Riveiro might be disappointed that his men failed to break the lock, but he can only be satisfied that he did not concede a goal which might weigh heavily in the return match, scheduled in three weeks at the Downs.
A gripping encounter comes to an end with the scores level! All to play for in the 2nd leg in Polokwane! ????
