Hassan Abdullah, the new Acting Governor of the Central Bank, decided to choose Hisham Ezz Al-Arab, the former CIB president, and Mohamed Naguib, the former non-executive chairman of SAIB, as his advisors.
Abdullah announced this decision during his first meeting with current and former bank heads today, Wednesday, according to banking sources in the audience who spoke to Masrawy.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi issued a republican decision last Thursday appointing Hassan Abdullah as acting governor of the Central Bank for a period of one year, one day following Tarek Amer, the former governor of the Central Bank, submitted his resignation a year before the end of his second term.
The new Central Bank Governor, Hassan Abdullah, met this evening, Wednesday, all the heads of banks in a friendly meeting and listened to everyone regarding everything related to banking work or the problems they encounter and put forward new ideas with the aim of development.
