Sources reveal details of the Egyptian government’s resignation

Egypt – Sources revealed details that the Egyptian government submitted its resignation following Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi was sworn in as president of the country for a new term.

The sources explained that the Egyptian government will naturally submit its resignation following the Egyptian President takes the constitutional oath, and will facilitate work until the formation of the new government is completed.

The sources continued: “It is natural for the government to submit its resignation and form a new government.”

Article 146 of the Egyptian Constitution stipulates that “The President of the Republic shall assign the Prime Minister to form the government and present his program to the House of Representatives. If his government does not obtain the confidence of a majority of the members of the House of Representatives within a maximum of thirty days, the President of the Republic shall assign the Prime Minister to be nominated by the party or The coalition that holds the majority of seats in the House of Representatives. If its government does not obtain the confidence of a majority of the members of the House of Representatives within thirty days, the House is considered dissolved and the President of the Republic is called upon to elect a new House of Representatives within sixty days from the date of issuance of the dissolution decision.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi will take the constitutional oath for a new presidential term before the House of Representatives in a special session that will be held at the House’s headquarters in the Administrative Capital tomorrow, Tuesday.

The session’s activities are scheduled to be broadcast live on news channels, as it is one of the important historical sessions.

Article 144 of the Constitution stipulates that the President of the Republic, before assuming the duties of his office, shall take the following oath before the House of Representatives: “I swear by God Almighty to faithfully preserve the republican system, to respect the Constitution and the law, to fully care for the interests of the people, and to preserve the independence of the Republic.” The homeland, its unity and territorial integrity.”

The sources told RT that Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi will take the constitutional oath in the hall of the new Egyptian Parliament in the New Administrative Capital, and this will mark the opening of the hall.
