Sources in the Public Authority for Roads and Bridges said that an extensive removal campaign will be implemented, following the Eid al-Adha holiday, on the ring road from Mariouteya to Marj, in both directions.
The sources added, in exclusive statements to “Masrawy”, that the removals will be to pave an additional service lane on the road in both directions.
Major General Tamer Abul-Naga, Director of Projects and Compensation in Giza Governorate, revealed the date for the start of the planned removals of properties that conflict with the path of the new 26th of July axis in the Barajil area in Giza.
Abul-Naga told Masrawy that the number of properties to be removed in the Barajeel area is regarding 119 on both sides, and the people living there have been informed of this, provided that the axis and its campus are 62 meters wide, starting from the ring road and up to the Barajeel bridge – (Bashtil station station).
He explained that the start of the implementation of the demolition works for real estate inconsistent with the path of the new axis, will take place as soon as possible, following transferring funds through the social affairs of citizens whose homes are scheduled to be removed and the compensation awarded to them immediately, especially the families who completed their papers.
