Source of recent terrorism in Pakistan is Afghanistan: Defense Minister

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that Afghanistan is the source of recent terrorism in Pakistan, the cycle will continue until Afghanistan leaves TTP’s training camps, shelters and facilities.

While talking to the media, he said that I myself went to Afghanistan with a delegation, I requested the Afghan government, as a neighbor, it is your duty to stop terrorism, while the solution given by the Afghan side was not feasible.

The Defense Minister said that due to the changing attitude of the Afghan government, our options for them are becoming limited, just like there are borders all over the world, the Pak-Afghan border should be the same.

He said that people should come to Pakistan with a visa and do business, those who cross the border on a free account, terrorists come there, the international status of the border is not being respected at the moment.

Khawaja Asif said that the investigation into the attack on Chinese workers is going on, the Chinese investigation team is involved in it, some leads have been found, Pakistan and China investigation teams will jointly find the trace of this terrorism.

He said that in the coming days such terrorism will also be dealt with, the IMF program is going on and the targets are being met, I said in this regard that it will take one and a half years to give relief to the people.

The Defense Minister said that we have the means to provide relief to the people, cases of taxes worth 2700 billion are pending, thousands of billions are being stolen in taxes, electricity, gas, if these things are corrected, the people will get relief.

He said that in the next 6 months, people will get relief from our measures, America should give an alternative to not taking gas from Iran, we buy expensive LPG from the international market.

He said that if a neighbor gives gas at a good rate, then we have the right, America has to understand our economic situation, we have allowed Afghanistan’s goods to be sent to India.

Khawaja Asif said that we have fought wars and made sacrifices for Afghanistan, terrorism and smuggled goods come from Afghanistan, relations with India have their own background.
