New Delhi: Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly is coming back to Delhi Capitals following stepping down as BCCI president. Sourav Ganguly returns as the team’s Head of Cricket. Ganguly held the position of advisor to Delhi Capitals in the 2019 season. Ganguly resigned as BCCI president in October 2019.
There have also been reports that Ganguly will play for Dubai Capitals and South Africa’s Pretoria Capitals in the International League Twenty20. Ganguly had to resign as the BCCI president when former Indian cricketer Roger Binny was elected unopposed.
It is reported that Ganguly expressed his desire to continue as the BCCI president, but the BCCI members did not agree with it. People including West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee have come forward once morest this. Mamata Banerjee came to the scene protesting the neglect of Ganguly.
