A handsome man, aged 25, Abdoulaye Barry is now deformed by the disease that has been eating away at him for 10 years. He is suffering from lumbar discarthrosis which first attacked his right lower limb before spreading to the other. The young man needs surgery. Unfortunately, he can’t afford it. This is why he is requesting the help of the president of the transition, Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya and the CEO of HADAFO Médias, Lamine Guirassy, for his evacuation to Morocco where he will have to undergo surgery.
“Discarthrosis or degenerative discopathy is defined by the irreparable wear and tear of the discs located between the 24 mobile vertebrae of the spine. This is what Abdoulaye Barry, 25, living in Sangoyah, in the commune of Matoto, is currently suffering from.
“I went to the hospital, the doctors told me that I have to do surgery in Morocco. But, it turns out that I can’t afford it. So I ask anyone who can help me. I have had this disease for regarding 10 years. It hurts me from the hips and it goes down to the level of the feet. It started with the right foot; but, the doctors told me that if it lasts, it will affect the left foot. And now it’s starting to affect him. That’s why I ask people for help since they told me where I can be treated. They told me it’s going to cost a lot of money since it’s a surgery,” he explained.
The disease has greatly reduced the mobility of the young patient and it makes him suffer seriously. “Right now I can hardly walk, I sit down to pray. When it starts to hurt, I feel cramps in my hips. I have painkillers here that I take, that’s what relieves me a little, ”continued Abdoulaye Barry.
Without means, he urgently needs financial assistance to save his lower limbs. “I ask everyone who has the possibility to help me. I ask Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya to help me, Lamine Guirassy too, as well as all people of good will. because, I do not have the means”, called the patient.
