Søreide nominated at the top for Oslo Høyre

On Monday evening, Oslo Høyre‘s representative board adopted the list of who will represent Oslo Høyre ahead of next year’s general election.

It then became clear that Ine Eriksen Søreide has been re-elected as the first candidate.

In a press release, she says that she is happy and grateful to have renewed confidence from Oslo Høyre.

– Together with the other candidates, I am ready for the election campaign. We need a government that takes the business world seriously and that understands that Oslo as the capital has both unique opportunities and unique challenges, and that governs safely in a security-politically troubled time, says Søreide.

It was NRK who announced the list decision first.

The top five candidates on the capital party’s parliamentary list were unanimously elected. Behind Søreide are Storting politicians Nikolai Astrup, Mudassar Kapur, Mathilde Tybring-Gjedde and Unge Høyre leader Ola Svenneby.

Sixth place went to Storting representative Heidi Nordby Lunde, while seventh place went to former Storting representative Stefan Heggelund. There were four men in the match voting: Michael Tetzschner, Arve Juritzen, Bjørgulv Vinje Borgundvaag and Stefan Heggelund.

In a second round of voting, Heggelund won with 125 to 89 votes against Tetzschner.
