Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi and INSEAD Partner to Introduce Virtual Reality Technology in Education

ABU DHABI, 7th June, WAM/ The Sorbonne University – Abu Dhabi signed a memorandum of understanding with INSEAD, the world’s leading business administration college, to introduce virtual reality technology into education and contribute to the development of students’ skills.

The memorandum was signed by Dr. Laurence Renault, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs of Sorbonne Abu Dhabi, and Professor Peter Zemsky, Dean of Innovation at INSEAD.

The cooperation aims to improve teaching methods and enrich students’ learning experience at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, as the university seeks, by integrating this advanced technology into the educational process, to enable faculty members to provide more effective and engaging teaching methods for students.

Dr. Laurence Reynaud said: “As an institution dedicated to providing world-class education, Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi recognizes the importance of leveraging innovative technologies to enhance student engagement and enrich the learning experience, and through this partnership with INSEAD on this pioneering initiative, the university aims to integrate cutting-edge virtual reality technologies into its its curricula, and creating an immersive and interactive learning environment for students that enhances students’ experience and their educational path.”

For his part, Professor Peter Zemsky expressed his pride in the partnership with Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, and the aspiration to continue joint work and provide a transformative educational experience for all faculty members and students at the university.
