TVA Nouvelles 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. anchor Sophie Thibault successfully went through her micrographic Mohs surgery and reconstruction.
Mme Thibault took the time on her social media on Wednesday to thank people for the outpouring of encouragement she has received over the week since her skin cancer was announced. She also took the opportunity to give a little more detail regarding her state of health.
“Everything went very well,” she wrote first.
“Mohs’ first surgical team got rid of the intruder in one fell swoop. And the nimble fingers of the plastic surgeon have ensured that nothing will appear soon, ”she then detailed.
Suffering from basal cell carcinoma, Sophie Thibault had to undergo micrographic Mohs surgery, an intervention which consists of removing a tumor in small layers until there is no more cancer.
