It is in Hungary’s fundamental interest to have the closest possible relations with India. This was stated by Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó, who negotiated in New Delhi on Wednesday.

The Foreign Minister defined the establishment of a direct flight connection as an important task to be solved. As part of its Council Presidency, Hungary wants to restart negotiations between the EU and India on a free trade agreement in the second half of the year and convene the EU-India Council for Trade and Technologies.
