ALGIERS – Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security, Fayçal Bentaleb revealed, Saturday in Algiers, the upcoming launch of an electronic service called “Tawdjih” to allow categories concerned by training to consult the sectors and the training specialties required in the labor market.
Chairing the work of the national meeting of wilaya employment directors, the minister specified that the sector “intends to launch, in the coming days, a new service making it possible to adapt training offers to the needs of the labor market, specifying that a special electronic program called “Tawdjih” has been developed to allow categories concerned by training to visualize the training courses and specialties required on the job market.”
He recalled that the sector has developed 102 digital platforms on the sectoral portal, adding that the National Employment Agency has developed 37 electronic services, including the “Minha” platform, which has allowed the agency to regulate and manage the lists of beneficiaries of the unemployment benefit system, as well as the digital platform “Wassit Online”, to reconcile job applications with job offers.
Mr. Bentaleb affirmed that these digital solutions have made it possible to improve the quality of services at the level of the public employment service and to reduce the reasons for members to travel.
He added that the issue of reducing unemployment in our country, particularly among young people, “is the subject of particular interest and monitoring on the part of public authorities, and this translates into, he said, through the efforts made to strengthen the mechanisms of economic take-off which constitutes an essential source of job and wealth creation.
He welcomed the major projects launched by the State since 2020, which constitute, he underlined, an “essential basis for creating economic activities, increasing decent work opportunities and strengthening the economic fabric in the medium and long term. terms”.
The minister recalled the decisions taken by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, aimed at promoting employment and strengthening the purchasing power of the different segments of society, such as the decision to integrate beneficiaries of schemes to assist professional and social integration and the institution of unemployment benefit for the benefit of first-time job seekers.
He also affirmed that the efforts made have made it possible to strengthen the mediation mission in the job market, noting that “several placements in the economic sector reached in 2023, until last October, 292,823 including 30,407 placements in the southern wilayas”.
Regarding unemployment benefit, the minister indicated that “the number of beneficiaries reached, until last October, 1,985,186 beneficiaries, adding that 28,659 beneficiaries have been placed in employment positions since the launch of this system” .
Regarding the file of beneficiaries of the professional integration assistance system, Mr. Bentaleb underlined that “until November 20, 2023, a total of 322,702 beneficiaries were integrated into permanent employment positions in the sector of institutions and public administrations”, adding that for the economic sector, 46,659 beneficiaries were integrated.
The minister indicated, in this regard, that the results recorded over the last three years have shown “a clear improvement in the services provided by the public employment service, thanks to its modernization, the mobilization of human and financial resources necessary, as well as the improvement of management tools.
On this occasion, Mr. Bentaleb insisted on the importance of intensifying efforts and initiatives to meet the expectations of citizens, young people in particular, in order to support them in access to employment and enable them to participate in the development process, calling on regional employment directors and local managers of institutions in the sector to “strengthen transparency and integrity” in the management of programs, in particular the management of job offers and applications .
He also called for better management of citizens’ concerns, by improving reception, listening and guidance services for beneficiaries in all employment-related services, the citizen must be, he said. -he said, at the center of priorities.
