Soon a Windows doped with artificial intelligence?

During the CES 2023 event which is currently taking place, Panos Panay, Microsoft’s Windows and Windows hardware manager made a remarkable intervention. This intervention was made in the context of the announcement made by the founder AMD of its new Ryzen 7000 mobile processors. Processors that AMD presented as being the first x86 chips to contain a dedicated artificial intelligence engine.

During the presentation, AMD President Lisa Su invited Panos Panay, who then said, “AI will reinvent the way you do everything on Windows, literally“.

On the other hand Panos Panay did not go into details on the future relations that Windows might have with artificial intelligence. He only touched on the fact that, thanks to these new processors, a PC’s webcam might add background blur, detect eye contact, and automatically frame someone on a conference call while using a lot less battery.
