The Special Advisor to the President of the Transition, CTRI Project Coordinator, Joseph Oyono and the Managing Director of the oil exploitation company, Maurel&Prom, Issempedjeno Ngaka, launched on Wednesday the construction work of a Modern city in Lambaréné. The launch of the works on the said City took place in the presence of the Special Delegate in charge of the management of the Migovean capital, Roger Bibaye Itandas.
It is a small futuristic city which will spread at the end of the work launched, lasting twenty-four (24) months, on the outskirts of the city known as ”Grand Blanc”, Nzéla Bola district, in the 2th district of Lambaréné, at the southern exit of the city, route Fougamou.
The future City will have fifty (50) villas, including forty (40) type F4 (3 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, for a living space of 110 m2) and ten (10) duplexes (ground floor + 1 floor for a living space of 90m2 x 2). The City will have a dispensary, a school of six (6) classrooms with a capacity of approximately four hundred (400) students with a multi-sports area and a commissary.
Cost of the project nine (9) billion CFA Francs, financed through the PID/PIH (provision for diversified investments / provision for hydrocarbons) of Maurel&Prom. “This project stems from the vision of the President who wants to provide a roof over his head for all Gabonese people. The company Maurel&Prom, an oil operator in the area, has decided to support the country’s authorities in the development of this part of Gabon.said Joseph Oyono, Advisor to the President of the Transition and CTRI Project Coordinator.
Through this project, Maurel&Prom further affirms its support for the vision of the transitional authorities for the well-being of the Gabonese populations, by investing tirelessly in numerous health, education and housing projects. Values that are particularly close to its heart, as part of its CSR policy (social and environmental responsibility).
“Alongside the current project, others will follow, notably the construction of 50 housing units on the Mitone site, at the northern exit of Lambaréné, towards Libreville. We are also planning the construction of a pontoon which will improve operations at the level of the Merchant Navy. We should also note the existence of a major investment program around our operating and production sites on the Lake Ezanga side”confided Issempedjeno Ngaka, CEO of Maurel&Prom Gabon.
