Since then, there have been rumors that a successor to the WM1 series will be launched. Earlier, Sony Japan’s Walkman website set up a special event website, indicating that the new Signature Series will be released on February 9.

Some netizens speculate that if Sony launches new audio products, there is no need to publish a notice in the Walkman network industry, so it is almost certain that Sony will release a new Walkman. A year ago, there was news out of China that it was likely to be a revised version of the WM1Z, which inherited the current design in appearance, but added the Android system inside.
