As much as it has abandoned many countries, Sony can venture into the folding smartphone market. Thus, in addition to a Fold model, sources indicate that the Japanese company has been working on the design of a flip cell phone.
Initially known as Sony Xperia Flip, this model had its first specifications revealed this weekend. The main highlight goes to its internal display, which can be 7 inches and have the well-known 21:9 aspect ratio.
Sony intends to bring its trademark to foldables. Therefore, keeping the aspect ratio more stretched should differentiate Xperia devices from Samsung, Motorola or Huawei solutions, for example.
Another important highlight of this OLED panel is its 4K resolution.
As for the other details of the future Xperia Flip, the source of the leak did not have access to the full technical sheet. Even so, as we are talking regarding an unprecedented and premium cell phone, it should have some expected details.
Thus, we can have a foldable with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, variants with up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage, but which still maintains the MicroSD card slot.
In the photographic field, Sony can use a proprietary 50 MP main sensor with OIS and 1 inch, while the front lens can reach the 12 MP of the Xperia 1 V.
As the Japanese manufacturer does not comment on the matter, we emphasize that everything should still be considered as just another market rumor.
