Although some rumors indicate that Sony may make relevant changes to its smartphone catalogue, leaked covers this week show that the Japanese company is regarding to present the new Xperia 1 VI and Xperia 5 VI.
The material was shared ahead of time by a Chinese retailer and shows that the Xperia 1 VI will be wider than its predecessor thanks to a change in aspect ratio.
According to sources, the top of the line should come out of the box with a display that has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 instead of 21:9.
The Xperia 1 VI screen will also have a change in resolution, as it is expected to have 2K instead of the 4K of the last generation.
On the other hand, the supposed Xperia 5 VI should have a dual camera on the back and this is evident thanks to the cutouts present in the case dedicated to the smartphone.
The position of the shutter button also appears to have been changed, but nothing is quite certain yet. For now, the specifications of the two smartphones remain uncertain, but the Xperia 1 VI should be launched with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
In addition, this top of the line will also have a 48 MP main rear camera with a new sensor, as well as a telephoto lens to offer zoom of up to 6x.
In both cases, the devices must come out of the box with Android 14 as the operating system and a 120 Hz OLED screen. However, Sony does not comment on the matter.
