Sony has introduced the DualSense Edge controller for the PlayStation 5 game console. The novelty, like the Xbox Elite controller from Microsoft for the Xbox Series X and Series S, has a wide range of customization options.
Sony notes on its PlayStation blog that owners of the DualSense Edge will be able to remap or disable individual controller buttons, as well as adjust the sensitivity and dead zones of its sticks. DualSense Edge triggers have the same capability.
The DualSense Edge controller allows you to save multiple control settings profiles that you can switch between on the fly. To do this, Sony engineers equipped it with a multifunctional Fn button, which allows you to quickly change the gamepad settings.
DualSense Edge is equipped with additional buttons on the back side and uses interchangeable stick caps. The latter are distinguished by a form suitable for games of various genres. If desired, it will be possible to replace the entire stick modules. The company said it will sell them separately for the DualSense Edge. However, their price has not yet been indicated.
Sony did not disclose the cost of the DualSense Edge controller, nor the date of its availability. But they promised to share this information “in the coming months.”
