Sony Semiconductor CEO Says “Mobile Camera Quality Will Lead DSLR by 2024”

Cameras on smartphones have come a long way nowadays. Both the quality and resolution are getting higher and higher, and it seems to be getting better and better. Recently, Sony Semiconductor Solutions (SSS) CEO Terushi Shimizu said in an interview with Nikkei that

“The image quality of smartphones will surpass DSLR cameras in 2024” and we really expect still images to be of better quality than DSLRs within the next few years.
