Sony Pictures has removed from its list of upcoming productions the first movie of Puerto Rican singer Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, “Bad Bunny”, in which he plays a character from Marvel fairy tales.
The character “El Muerto” is one of the villainous characters who confront Spider-Man “Spider-Man” in many “Marvel” stories.
According to the magazineVariety“Sony” removed the movie “El Muerto”, which was scheduled to be shown on January 12, 2024, from its list of works, and replaced it with the movie “Dumb Money”, which was inspired by an electronic game called “GameStop”.
The magazine pointed out that “El Muerto” is an evil character who confronts Spider-Man “Spider-Man” in many Marvel stories. The film is the first work to transfer this character from paper stories to cinematic works of superheroes.
The reasons for withdrawing the work are still unknown, and it is a movie, if it was produced, regarding a failed wrestler who accidentally gets a magic mask, which gives him superpowers, which he uses for good deeds and saving the world.
And “Bad Bunny” previously expressed, during the “Cinema Congress 2022” festival, his happiness at being the first Latin singer to contract with “Sony” for an absolute championship, one of the Marvel characters he loves.
It is noteworthy that Sony will soon present the movie “Kraven the Hunter”, starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, on October 6, 2023, and “Madame Web”, starring Dakota Johnson, on February 16, 2024.
