Depending on the music format and headphones, the battery lasts between 21 and 25 hours of music playback, and is charged via USB-C. This port achieves a data rate of 5 Gbps, so music can be quickly transferred from a computer to the player. Bluetooth headphones can be connected via SBC, AAC, aptX HD and LDAC. The integrated DAC supports DSD up to 11.2 MHz, MQA, AAC, Apple Lossless, FLAC up to 24-bit at 384 kHz, AIFF up to 32-bit and MP3. The 16.9 millimeter thin, 227 gram light music player supports DSEE Ultimate to improve the quality of compressed music and Sony 360 Reality Audio.
Prices and Availability
The Sony NW-ZX707 Walkman will be launched in Japan on February 23 at a price of 104,500 yen (approx. 734 euros). Sony has not yet given any details regarding the launch in Germany. There are more details regarding the technology on the official product page.
