The PlayStation Stars project Sony is working on seems to be inspired by the Microsoft Awards. Points earned can be redeemed by players for a number of rewards, ranging from digital collectibles to funds within their PlayStation wallet. In addition, PlayStation Stars will also provide players with various opportunities and activities to obtain additional points from time to time. If you want to get points, you can complete various tasks and achievements in PlayStation Star. “Digital Collectibles” are a new type of reward that comes with PlayStation Stars, including figurines of popular iconic characters from games and other forms of entertainment, as well as valuable equipment from Sony’s history, with varying levels of rarity Available for players to collect and fight for.

In the future, Sony may also ask subscribers to complete certain challenges, such as winning certain competitions, earning certain trophies, or being the first in a specified time zone to earn a Platinum trophy in a specified game. PlayStation Plus subscribers also have an added advantage in PlayStation Stars, PS+ members who join PlayStation Stars earn points for every purchase they make in the PSN Store.

PlayStation Stars appears to be the first rewards program launched by PlayStation Network, and at the same time, the rewards program launched by rival Microsoft is already exploring a number of possible ways to increase user loyalty. While PlayStation Stars isn’t live yet, Sony has said it plans to launch the program later in 2022.
