Sony has teamed up with Western Digital to offer an officially licensed PS5 SSD for the PlayStation brand. The SN850 NVMe SSD will have the logo on its outer packaging indicating that it is an “Officially Licensed Product” for PS5 consoles following undergoing hundreds of hours of testing.

Sony and WD reached an agreement following “spending hundreds of hours playing the most graphically rich titles to ensure that with games stored on the driver, gameplay is fast, smooth, and visually immersive.”
The SSD is available for purchase from the company’s online store, and more retailers will carry it next month. £179.99 will give you a 1TB option, while 2TB will cost you £289.99:
