A PlayStation 5 Pro is in development at Sony. It is rumored to be released sometime in 2024 and should improve ray tracing.
The rumors follow and look alike at Sony. According to sources fromInsider Gaminga PS5 Pro is said to be in development and should be released during the year 2024. Few details are known yet, but a Twitter user, @Onion00048claims that Sony has filed a patent for technology that is supposed to improve ray tracing.
This new rumor comes as others are already circulating regarding another PS5 model. Indeed, still according to Insider Gaming, Sony is preparing to launch a new PlayStation 5 this year, with a removable disk drive. This should eventually replace the current models to limit production and shipping costs.
If, for its part, Sony remains silent, these rumors fuel the debates. Thus, some PlayStation users consider that the release of a PS5 Pro is still premature. Due to the lack of graphically impressive titles, on the one hand, but also due to the state of the market. Which is just recovering from the chip shortage. Nevertheless, it should be remembered that Sony has started the year 2023 with a bang and that the PS5 is selling with a vengeance. In other words, the release of the PS5 Pro in 2024 may be much more than a rumor.
