We know the humorous radio plays by the FM4 couple Sonja and Bernd, played by Eva Deutsch and David Pfister. In recent years, the two have slipped into their roles as “Sonja & Bernd”, the FM4 couple, in almost 1000 radio play episodes. For example, in her Morning Show column “Weekend Vibes with Sonja and Bernd”, a dry satire on the ups and downs of a long-term couple. In 2015 the two published the book “Sonja and Bernd in Thailand” with cartoonist Gerhard Haderer.
And it’s already a good tradition that they invite guests over the holidays and produce one-hour radio plays. In recent years with people like Michael Buchinger, Fritz Ostermayer, Hosea Ratschiller, Riem Higazi, Bernie Wagner and Ulrike Haidacher.
Just in time for Halloween and All Saints Day, Eva Deutsch and David Pfister have cooked up a new one-hour radio play. With the author and cabaret artist Lena Hödl as a star guest. “Sonja and Bernd – The Last 3 of Us” is the sequel to one of their most legendary episodes and focuses on an Austrian zombie apocalypse.

After Sonja and Bernd successfully escaped contaminated Vienna on e-scooters in the first part of the zombie apocalypse (2019), the two have now been living holed up in a small, deserted village in southern Burgenland for four years.

Far away from any civilization, in Sonja’s parents’ abandoned house. There the two of them defy post-apocalyptic everyday life as hermits and survival professionals, grow their own vegetables and fruit, hunt, do crafts and only have each other.
Suddenly, after being completely alone for a few years, they meet another person. A young woman who has given up all social etiquette and lives the way she likes. This soon becomes really annoying for Sonja and Bernd. With comedian and author Lena Johanna Hödl as a representative of Generation Z(-ombie).
