Last night, Sonic Frontiers showed off its gameplay and lush environments in a short teaser lasting a few seconds. Today, the next big hit from SEGA returns to the front of the stage with 7 big minutes of gameplay.

New for Sonic Frontiers, and it’s gameplay!

Sonic Frontiers, the game that caused a stir when it was first announced at the last Game Awards, was talked regarding once more yesterday evening with a little teaser… but SEGA’s future open world didn’t want to stop so good path. Today, the big production expected by all fans of the blue hedgehog is back, and in better shape than ever. Indeed, through IGN, Sonic Frontiers has unveiled itself for a long time as you can see by watching the video available below.

After the remake of Sonic Colors or the launch of Sonic Forces, the hedgehog proves to us once and for all what he is capable of. He offers us, with this long gameplay presentation video of regarding 7 minutes, to contemplate a project that seems to live up to its image. This time, the all-blue hero can therefore use all his speed to cross verdant lands that stretch as far as the eye can see. and which promise a freedom of action worthy of a The Legend of Zelda : Breath of the Wild. An enticing program.

An adventure with multiple possibilities?

As you can see by observing this first demonstration of the game in more detail, Sonic is more agile than ever. From now on, the mascot of SEGA can climb gigantic towers to observe the horizon, but also slide on rails to recover these famous rings (objects to collect). He can also jump from platform to platform to reach increasingly vertical areas, solve puzzles to open new passages or even take his time to contemplate the different landscapes available to him.

Of course, our hero is also a character who likes to show his fists to undermine Dr. Robotnik’s evil plans, but unfortunately, unlike yesterday’s short clip, this new video focuses mainly on the exploration and contemplation aspect. of the proposal. An idea which is also underlined once once more by the relaxing composition of Tomoya Ohtani, one of the flagship composers of the SEGA license. We therefore imagine that we will be entitled to a second gameplay video in the next few days (or hours).

For now, Sonic Frontiers does not have a precise release date, but note that the title is still expected for the end of 2022 on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
